Organization of Contacts

Contacts are stored in “Data Sources”. One that is available by default is “Contacts App”, which is always synced with the “Contacts” app of OS X. You can also create your own Data Sources to store contacts locally in AddressBox. Each Data Source can contain a contact only once and contacts in different Data Sources are considered to be different contacts.

To organize your data, it is best to use Groups or Smart Groups. You can add these using the “+” button below the collections list. With Smart Groups, AddressBox can do the organizing for you, by filtering your contacts based on some conditions (like “if company is …”).
